This story comparison, used with "Charles" by Shirley Jackson and "Do You Know Me?" (both attached), will assess students' critical reading skills as they answer the questions. Four questions relate to the attached story "Charles", three questions relate to the attached story "Do You Know Me?", and one question will require students to compare the characters in both stories. This story comparison will assist students with various state-mandated tests, including TAKS.

I have taught all levels of English/Language Arts to grades 9-11 in a public school setting (special ed, on-level, honors, and Advanced Placement). I am now working at the new Spring ISD Career Academy that integrates various career and technology courses into the academics. I have trained numerous teachers in "Project Integration", which integrates various subjects into the teacher's primary curriculum through hands-on, project-based learning through my business, Edu-Source Consulting. I was nominated for the Disneyhand Creative Teaching Award, and been honored with teaching various awards.
