This 29-page response packet emphasizes the use of reading comprehension strategies and contains vocabulary activities, sequencing, crosswords, weblinks, and more! See two other chocolate-themed response packets available that follow a similar approach, one for Chocolate Fever and one for The Chocolate Touch. All three make an excellent theme unit for guided reading groups. Created by Gina Giblin.
I did notice that someone had pointed out the typoes and graphics. The unit is pretty expensive for there to be mistakes. I do love the focus on skills though, and once the mistakes are fixed, I'll be quite happy with the purchase.
There are a lot of great ideas in this packet & I like the way the chapters are chunked. However, there are some typos. Some of the print/ graphics are cut off at the bottom. And, there are more ideas for the early chapters than the later chapters. You may want to consider this for the price. Thank you.

Hi Gina,
I love your Charlie and The Chocolate Factory Unit and can't wait to use it with my students. I was wondering if You could send it to me so that I could just make a few changes. I wanted to make some of the print a little bigger and put less on a page. My students get easily overwhelmed and intimidated. I noticed that Charlie was spelled wrong on one of the pages so I wanted to fix that too. I already paid for this document and printed it out but just wanted to make a few little changes if you didn't mind. I would really appreciate it very much. I can't wait to get started on this.... I think the kids are gonna love it!!
