Check out my Charlotte's Web Mini Unit Packet 1 of 3 (and the 3rd one is FREE!!).
This mini unit packet will take 5 days to complete, after reading 1 chapter per day, and assigning activities for homework, or independent work, after reading.
ELA concepts covered in this 6 page packet:
- Daily vocabulary words from each packet using dictionary skills (students look up definitions with partner, as whole class, or independently)
- Making inferences
- Foreshadowing
- Compare/Contrasting
- Personification
- Imagery
- Making predictions
- Character Traits
The unit study is comprehensive. Great for an end of the year unit, or right before testing to read a GREAT book to wrap up and review for state testing! I always do this unit study 1 month before testing (3 weeks to complete unit, and 1 week right before to review all concepts).
Check out mini unit packet for chapters 8-16 and chapters 17-22 (which is FREE!!) at my TpT store!

where do I find questions for chapters 8 through 16?
I noticed that this is set for 4th and up. I teach 3rd grade and I loved the samples that I saw and was just curious if you thought that this could be used with 3rd graders if it is a whole group activity?
Hi, Konnerw! Thanks for the comment. I have always taught 4th and 5th grade, and have used with both, in whole group. This year, however, is my first year in 3rd grade. I would say it would depend on your students. I have two groups of 3rd graders...1 group I would say yes, one I would say no. There is a lot of vocabulary, which I've always done a lot with in 4th and 5th...playing games, using in summaries, word wall, dictionary drills, part of speech usage, etc...etc...anyways, since working with 3rd, I think it would be appropriate, if you didn't focus so much on individual work (like looking up each vocab work by themselves...doing it as a class, or small group). I am in a new district, so I haven't done my unit this year to give any personal feedback for 3rd graders. However, I can honestly say I would do with my high group. Hands down. :) Thanks for the comment! :) Lindsay
