This is the unit 1 test that I give for my introductory chemistry course. Topics include qualitative versus quantitative observations, physical versus chemical change, density, and classification of matter (element, compound, mixture). There are 20 questions, all problems or write-in answers (no multiple choice). The answer key includes worked out calculations. This is a Microsoft word Document file (.doc), so it can be edited as needed.
