This PowerPoint defines bullying. Students play a true/false game to see what misconceptions they have about bullying. Then the teacher will read "Chester Raccoon and the Big Bad Bully," by Audrey Penn. While reading students will discuss the problems the main characters face and will analyze their solutions. This PowerPoint also includes a journal activity that can be completed after the read aloud. Simply put there is a warm up, a focus question for your reading with a possible graphic organizer, and an independent activity.
