Chocolate fractions is a fun, hands-on on way to teach fractions. The students will use chocolate bars to model, identify, label, and compare fractions. Students will eat pieces of the chocolate bar as they shade in and label the fractions that they eat on the recording sheet. You may use 2 fun size chocolate bars with each bar consisting of 4 pieces. The rectangles on the recording sheet have not been sectioned off so that you may adjust your fractional parts according to your needs and the size chocolate bars you would like to use. This also always you to differentiate this activity according to the size fractions you would like to use.
