How do you make the graphics in the lessons you post? Those are really cool. I would love to learn how.

Hello Sarah,
We are doing our Christmas Around the World unit next week. I bought your scrapbook and it's great! I can't wait to use it! I was wondering if you could include a page for Japan and a passport stamp? I also saw that someone had asked for the "Holidays Around the World" page, could you sent that too? Thank you so much!

Hi, Sarah! I'm excited about using the Christmas Around the World scrapbook with my firsties this week!! I thought I remembered seeing pictures of past ones your students completed as examples that were totally cute - and I wanted to have one last look for inspiration - but now I can't find them...did I imagine those pictures? :D At this time of the year it's possible... Ha ha!
What is the font you used to create the titles of each page. My grade level needs to add Russia as one of the countries we study and being how I am I wanted them all to match. Let me know if you can and thanks.

I know you are super busy, but I am starting our Holidays Around the World unit on Monday and I need to order copies, can you send me the cover page that says "Holidays Around the World"? Thanks

Hi Sarah, I absolutely love doing this scrapbook. I bought it last year for my first graders and I can't wait to do it again this year. I think it is my favorite thing to teach all year! I saw that you were sending someone else a cover that says Holidays Around the World and I was wondering if you could send that to me too? I tried to make my own but it wasn't as cute as the font you used. :) Thanks so much for this wonderful product! jklipfel@middletonps.org
Hi Sarah!
I love your Scrapbook! I have been doing something similar to this with my students for years but your layout is so fantastic, I'm looking forward to using it this year.
I was wondering what font you used for the titles?
Thank you! I can't remember the name of the lettering--but it is a christmas lettering--(not a font) that I found through the website Lettering Delights.

This looks great! I teach Kindergarten and this unit would combine my craftivities and my journals into one. Do the crafts come with the patterns in the unit, like the pointsettia and the gingerbread, and does it come with the template for the country stickers? Thanks so much. (Also, like Mrs. Russell, I would need it to say Holidays instead of Christmas-Can we add a Israel and Africa page?) My email is powellbabe@hotmail.com Thanks!
There are country stickers provided in this--and if you download my Christmas Around the World Supplement pack--(it is free!) it will come with the craft templates a planning calendar! Thanks so much! -Sarah-

Hi Sarah! I just purchased your super cute Christmas Around the World Scrapbook. I was wondering if you could help me make one little change...to HOLIDAYS around the world for the scrapbook cover?
If it's not possible, I completely understand.
They are all in color--I was lucky enough to have someone offer to copy them all for me for free, but others on my grade level have printed them out in black and white, and they still look cute!

Sarah,
Even looking at the four preview pages, I couldn't get a good feel for what kinds of things the lessons will actually entail. I see the unit's gotten lots of positive feedback but some of it was from K-1 teachers -- do you think it would still be effective for a 3rd grade class?
This is a useful tool for all elementary ages, and the scrapbook itself is to be used as a fun reminder for the students to record the information they have learned from each country. The scrapbook includes a teacher's guide that gives you ideas for crafts, picture books, and food that will make the journey around the world exciting and fun. You may want to find additional information or add map skills for your 3rd graders, but I really think they will enjoy it!

Did you include Hanukkah, a jewish holiday? It's very popular celebration in December but I didn't see it listed on your description page.
No, I didn't, but that would be an excellent idea for another activity! I just have the many ways that Christmas is celebrated in other countries included in this packet.

I was interested in purchasing your unit but we are not allowed to use food. Are there alot of pages with food?
My page on Sweden says, "We sampled cinnamon buns and hot cocoa"--they fill out boxes as to whether they liked it or not. But, you don't have to actually eat the food! Maybe you could just pretend? I have just a few other food ideas included in the teacher's guide, but they are optional. I think you could still have lots of fun with this packet, without the food included.

Hi Sarah! I am looking at buying your Christmas Around the World Scrapbook. Are there crafts for each country or just some of the countries? The unit looks very cute! I just want to make sure it will work for my students (I am a teacher of the deaf and I need crafts to use so I can target language structures). Thanks!
I have a few crafts, but most of the items will be things they add to the scrapbook, like pictures/artifacts, or activities you would complete as a group. (Breaking open a pinata, decorating stockings, etc.)

HI Sarah!
I just wondered if anyone else who bought your Christmas around the world had trouble with printing the pages with the swirl boarder. They don't fit exactly on the page, and therefore are cut off on the top. Is it possible to resize it? Gina
