One of the challenges every year as an elementary school teacher is finding something appropriate for the students to perform in the Christmas concert.
Luckily, I love to write so very often I was able to create a play or recitations so that every child in my class who wanted a speaking part could have one, and those who preferred NOT to speak alone, could chime in with other students.
In this piece I have written an opening and closing recitation for a Christmas concert as well as 20 individual recitations ( that could be partner or small group pieces as well with minor alteration of me to we etc.)
They are original ( I know because I wrote them last night!) Some rhyme and some do not, and most are intended to bring on a chuckle from the audience.
They could certainly be used in other venues such as church concerts, Cub and Brownie concerts etc.
Hopefully someone seeing this piece on TPT will make use of it and not have to worry about coming up with something for the concert on their own this year. If I wasn't retired I'd be using them myself!

34 years...12 in Physical education and 22 in elementary classrooms, 20 of those years were in multi-age classrooms by choice. Voluntarily transferred several times in my career to become involved in different MA classes. Writing for education and creatively otherwise for 35 years. Have received several awards for technological integration into the curriculum and for leadership. I am now retired and partner in an educational consulting firm.
