This is a laminate and cut workstation. All 5 vowels are included. There are several pages of cookies for each vowel. The cookies can be sorted by long vowel/short vowel or by the spelling of the long vowel. For example, the long a cookies can be sorted by ai, ay, or a-e. (All common long vowel combinations are included.) Students can place the cookies on the pan that they match. You can make this a self-checking workstation by putting matching stickers on all of the pieces that go together. After the student sorts the cookies, he flips over the cookies to check if all of the cookies have the same sticker as the pan. A student response sheet is included and can be used with all the vowel sorts.

This is so cute! We are getting ready to do a Christmas gingerbread unit, and this will be perfect! I am certain the kids will love it, and It will give them the needed practice reading long vowel words!! Love it!

I teach a k-5 self-contained classroom for children with special needs. It's very much like the old one room schoolhouse. I taught a resource classroom from 1999-2004. I've been in my one room schoolhouse since 2004. I am privileged to teach in an arts integrated, Title I school. We use the arts to teach the core academic standards.
