Students pick a Christmas character to draw. They follow the step by step illustrations to create their character and then write about it. The characters are Santa, an angel, a penguin, a reindeer, a snowman, a Christmas tree, and a mouse. Steps for drawing and cutting the characters as well as steps for simply drawing the characters are included. Both a color and grayscale version of the Christmas Friends reader is included in 3 reading levels.
A sight word game with sight word cards and a picture/word concentration game are included as well. The picture and word cards can be used for a word wall.
