This is a really cool way for students to celebrate Christmas in Computer class. There are directions on how to create Christmas Lights using their name & make it look similiar to a Christmas tree. A rubric is also included. Students will search the internet for Christmas Lights. Save that string of lights picture to their computer or flash drive. Be sure to choose lights that will match or fit their name. Students will use the drawing toolbar at the bottom of a Word Document. The students will use the following to create their name: Word Art - for the Name, the Christmas Lights, Stars & Banners - Choose one of the stars for the top of the name. Students can have the star filled with a color or add a picture by clicking on the Fill Color cup arrow, then fill effects, select picture, insert, click OK. The picture is now in the star. To make the name look less bright, click on the name, right click, Format Word Art. You can now change the fill or line colors & then click Weight to 4.25 - 4.50. This will make the name really cool looking. Enjoy creating!!!
