This set was designed for use in a pre-k or kindergarten classroom. It has fifteen matching/pattern strips showing various colored Christmas trees. There are three strips of each of these basic patterns: AB, AAB, ABB, ABC and ABAC. Children place matching colored trees on top of the strip, or extend the patterns. This is a fun December center idea. I also use this set one-on-one or with a small group of children as a tool to evaluate their skills with matching and patterns. I have worked in a preschool setting since 2004. At first, I was our preschool's librarian and resource teacher. I created many library lessons for my own use as well as many items specifically for our teachers. Since 2009, I have been teaching pre-k.
