This powerpoint presentation on the Civil Rights Movement covers all of the major topics of the movement with pictures and a clear outline of key content. Topics include social segregation, changes in education with Brown v. Board of Education, the Montgomery Bus Boycott, and the leadership of Martin Luther King Jr., and the student movements. Very comprehensive and aligns well to curriculum core content standards.

Hi, I just bought your Civil Rights Movement Powerpoint. It is great! One fact needs correction, though. The Montgomery bus boycott lasted for over a year. There is disagreement about the exact date the bus boycott began - some sources say it was Dec. 1st, the day of Parks' arrest, others say Dec. 2, the day the Women's Political Council called for a bus boycott, and other sources say it began the day of Rosa Parks' trial, on Dec. 5th, 1957. But in any case, it went until December 20, 1958. Just wanted to clarify. I really love both of your civil rights Powerpoints and am using them with my 5th graders. We were fortunate enough to have Dr. Terrence Roberts, one of the Little Rock Nine, come to speak to our 5th graders right after we reviewed the movement using your Powerpoint, A great day and great materials!
Thanks, Sharon
