This is a collection of some great resources for teaching about the Civil Rights movement in America, specifically Rosa Parks and the Birmingham Bus Boycott.
This 14 page file includes digital copies of original newspaper articles, editorials, Western Union telegraph, Montgomery City Code detailing "Separation of Races",and notibly, letters to the city council written by Dr. King. (All resources have the original sources listed)
Also included are a vocabulary matching activity and crossword, lesson suggestions for using poetry and songs to lead into the topic (includes 3 songs with lyrics).
