Students enjoy researching and creating a "Memory Box" of a civil war hero. In this project (11 pages here), students research a civil war hero, write a biography (including a 3rd person prologue of life, 1st person monologue as the person, and epilogue of what student would say/ask person), write a journal/letter as person, write a poem, create vocabulary cards, surprising fact cards, artifacts, and a decorative box to contain all of these pieces. History in a box!
