This behavior chart came from an idea that a colleague found online several years ago from the following website:
http://www.newmanagement.com/ebooks/clip_chart.html. You can download the 36 page ebook from this site. Great Site!
It has become such a huge hit that most teachers in our district have their own hung in their classroom.
What a great positive reinforcement tool! Each day the students start out on green. As they make great choices they move up or make poor choices and move down. If they land on Great Job, I write a short note in their agenda and give him/her a piece of gum. If someone lands on outstanding I give them a coupon to read with a buddy during readers workshop OR a trip to the treasure box. On parent contact, I have the student fill out a behavior report for their parents to sign.
Ask Maureen Kinney a question. They will receive an automated email and will return to answer you as soon as possible.
