I have four copies of a booklet of reproducible activities to accompany a unit on Macbeth for grades 5-8 or low readers or ESL in grades 9-10. I've used these activities with gifted 7th and 8th graders in the past. The worksheets run from learning vocabulary from the play to creative and artistic endeavors such as creating a Playbill, deciding on how to perform a particular character or scene, learning about stage direction and the history behind the play. Crossword puzzles, geography of Scotland, and many other activities are included. This Player's Notebook was designed to accompany the Classroom Classics Player's Script, a very short but complete version for young actors. My students used it to perform the play for one of our Shakespeare Festivals. NOTE: The Player's Notebook does not have to be used with the Player's Script; you can use it with your own lessons or editions when teaching the Scottish Play. These booklets were published by Sundance, a reputable educational company. Each booklet is $7, which includes shipping.
