How do I know on my computer if I have a zip thing? I am not to computer literate. Thanks.

It should just unzip when you open it, but if it doesn't, just drop me an email at rachellynette@gmail.com and I will be happy to email you the documents. :)

Rachel,
I just downloaded the Literature activities for 1-3 and I think they are varied and creative. I can't wait to try these in my classroom on Monday! I was looking through the pages just now and on Word Hunt II, on number 6 the task says to find a word with 3 syllable. It's easy for me to add the /s/ on to syllable, but you might want to change this for future orders. Thanks for a great product!

Hello Rachel,
Thank you for sharing your creative mind and letting us integrate your worksheets into our classrooms.
I just purchased Literature worksheets 1st3rd can be used with A.zip and I cannot open the document. I was able to open the preview before I purchased it and now it won't open. Any suggestions?
Thanks-

Hi Nicola, I don't know why it doesn't just open automatically. But no worries. Just send me an email to rachellynette@gmail.com and I will send you the files unzipped.

I still don't see Chapter 8, there was chapter 1, 10, and 11. Is there a way I can re-download it?

I double checked, it is there in the free preview. Did you download the Free Preview document? It is different than the thumbnail pics you see to the right. If for some reason you still can't get it, just email me at reallyrachel@gmail.com and I will get it to you!

Hi, I downloaded this packet. It looks great but there is nothing for Chapter 8. I wasn't sure if something was wrong with the download or what happened. Any ideas?

Wow, thank you so much for bringing this to my attention, you are totally right! I don't know how this happened, but I have done 2 things to fix the situation:
I've made page 8(along with another page), into a free preview so that you and anyone else who has already purchased can just download it anytime. Just go back to the product page to find the preview.
Second, I've added page 8 to the product so that no one else will find it missing.
Again, thank you so much for bringing this to my attention!

I just downloaded the free "Would You Rather Questions". Any special suggestions on how/when to use them?
Posted on: November 9, 2009
Reply by: Rachel Lynette (s)
The easiest way would probably be when you have an extra 5 minutes, they are great for discussion. I think it is fun to have kids vote on one answer or the other, then have a child from each side voice an opinion as to why he/she made that choice, then vote again. They also make good writing prompts if you ask why. There are more suggestions at Minds in bloom here: http://mindsinbloom.blogspot.com/2009/10/exploing-would-you-rather-questions.html
Hope you enjoy them!

Hi there!
Do you know if it is possible once I download this product if I will be able to add for my 20 word spelling lists? Thank you!

Yep, you can edit all the pages, but a few may be a little tricky to fit all 20 words on - may have to make the font a little smaller.

Hi Rachel! I noticed this product was on the 'top seller' list on TpT! Congrats! Here's my question: Approximately how many of these have you sold? I'm just trying to get a feel for what it takes to be on this list! Thanks again!

Paul said it was a server thing. I know he sent the product to the last customer who had this issue, so I will drop him another note and I'm sure he will make sure you get it. If you don't, just email me and I will send it to you directly. Thanks for letting me know!

I just emailed Paul about this. It is a problem with TpT, not my product. I am sure he will deal with it pronto...he is great about this kind of thing. If he can't resolve it today, send me your email and I will email it to you directly.

Thank you for your kind words!
Currently there are just the twelve...but I love creating them and plan to make more soon, especially as more teachers find out about TpT and sales go up.
Feel free to let me know if there are themes that would be particularly useful and I can try to include them.

Hi Rachel,
I loved, LOVED the apple sample I saw. I was looking for creative morning work and I would like to use this. Are there only still 12 worksheets available? Are you in the process of creating more themed sheets? Thanks!

Hi Rachel,
I am harrisme who provided feedback on the 16 novel discussion questions. I had it downloaded, but I have lost one of the pages. The character one where they draw at the bottom of the page. Do I need to buy this in order to get that one page I'm missing? Please let me know. Thanks.

Could you tell me the themes of the pages? I teach 2nd grade and A LOT of different themes throughout the school year. I thought the sample "apple" page was excellent.

Rachel,
I'm a public high school math teacher and I was extremely impressed with the quality of your brain teaser worksheets. They made me want to teach elementary school! I believe that some of your worksheets may be appropriate to interest those students I get in the ninth grade who have completely 'checked out' of anything academic -- they may also give me a quick assessment of what they know.
I am going to keep my eyes open for your books in bookstores when I have kids of my own; I really think you have a knack for getting kids to connect all realms of learning in the activities you've created.
-Peter Jonnard, NBCT
P.S. When I went to your personal website, I chuckled when you said your teachers used to tell you to focus on spelling, because there's a minor typo you might want to fix on your description of this product: I've cut-and-pasted it below and added the missing word "are":
Description:
This is a bundle of 12 worksheets
• Each page has a theme and these themes are ones that can easily be incorporated into an elementary curriculum or simply used at the appropriate time of year. In addition, there ARE several that could be used anytime.
