Good game for my purposes. Remember the host needs a print-out of the game board(s) to know all the choices and be able to click on the right boxes. Also remember this game, by its nature, is a bit labor-intensive to create -- and you can't really run it with the same group you surveyed to create it. Beyond this, I agree with other comments on plusses and minuses below.

I loved it!!! My students loved it!!! I've used this so many times since I purchased it.
I really liked the format! I have a few questions. How did you design this? (What type of software did you use?) Is there anyway to block off the numbers that I don't use? Also, is there a way to add the fast money part?
Thanks! I created this file in Microsoft PowerPoint. If you do not need the extra buttons, simply delete the buttons from the slide. Be sure to save the original template for more game creations. As for the fast money part is concerned, I didn't include that into the game format.

Loved it -- really useful and helpful for the class I am doing. Unlike other games, Family Feud lends itself to a team atmosphere, so this was a perfect fit for my class. This design is simple and easy to use and so fun! Thanks!

Really liked how this was more like the real "Family Feud" game, set up so that there were multiple answers to one question. However, I did have problems being able to go back to the question after giving a strike. Had to manually go back to the slide (on the upside, it still did show all the questions that had been cleared already). A fun tool for the classroom!

Is this a PPT file or an RAR file? I want to make sure that I will be able to open it without using any other kind of assistance such as Winzip.
I can insert all my questions and answers, but the game does not cover up the answers when the slides are opened. Also, the game opens with no sound. Also, The buzzer sounds for "X" and applause sounds for Team 1 or 2; just no opening sounds. (My PPT is a 2000 version. May be too old?)
In order for the answers to appear covered, you must view the game in slide show mode. The sound can be downloaded at http://www.televisiontunes.com/Family_Feud_-_Late_70s.html. I hope this helps!

My questions for the game: are there sound effects? If I accidentally show the answer, can I go back and block the questions? Does the game calculate the points, or give me a place to write out the points? And last, is there a limit to the number of questions I can have?
Thank you!
There are sound effects for the answers and buzzers. It is not set up for calculating points or blocking questions once shown, unless you restart the slide. You would have to have a scorekeeper and host cards or a printed copy of the game so that you know where the answers are located. You can have as many questions and answers as you like, just simply duplicate the game board slides. Hope this helps!
Thank you for your purchase! You must have Microsoft PowerPoint (not PowerPoint viewer) installed on your computer in order to make changes to the template. If so, to add your question, click the text box at the top of the slide that reads "enter question here". Simply delete that text and add your own. To add answers & points, click the text box that reads "enter answer & points here". Simply delete that text and add your own. Repeat this step for all buttons. You may delete extra buttons. Don't forget to save your changes. I hope this helps.
Hi Seane,I work in Customer Service and I would like to use this for questions pertaining to the products that we offer with our supervisors. Can I change the categories and questions to fit the needs of th business I am in?
Hello. Yes, you may change the questions and answers to fit your needs.

After you click a strike for an answer, the ppt does not go back to the question, but to the winning team slide. Does not allow for multiple chances to answer the question correctly. It's like slide order or commands are off.

I purchased your Classroom Feud Game and had a few questions. Do you recommend that the points start out with one and get 1 higher down the row? Are the answers written on cards? What are the 1, 2, 3 at the bottom and how do they work? Do the teams take turns back and forth? I'm sorry, but I'm just not sure how to get started. Thanks for your help.
The points can be set however you like. I do recommend that you write the answer choices on cards so that you remember where each answer is. The 1, 2, and 3 buttons at the bottom are the strikes. If a student gives an answer that is not a choice, then you would press the strikes. The teams would take turns to answer the questions and the team with the most points at the end of the game wins. Hope this helps, enjoy!

Some of my sounds are not playing. For example when a team has one strike the buzzer sounds however if they receive another strike there is no sound. Also I would like to change the applause when a right answer is given to a bell. I am pretty good at PowerPoint and I have tried everything that I know how to do. Is it blocked through your download? Is it possible to add/change sounds?
Try closing and then reopening the powerpoint. The sound should be embedded into the powerpoint, but if it is not working properly you can change it. Open the Powerpoint to slide 8(X #1). Click on slide show and then slide transition. Under the sound tab, change the sound to "voltage". The sound will then change to another "buzz" sound. Do the same for slides 9(X #2)and 10(X #3) as well. To change the sound after clicking a right answer, choose slide show then custom animation. There should be several triggers shown. Click on each trigger and choose effect options. Use the drop menu next to sound to change the tone when choosing a correct answer. Don't forget to save your changes.

Seane, If this is a repeat question, my apologies. I just sumbitted but then got sent to the login page, so not sure whether the question reached you. I can get the sound (buzz) for the "X" slides after question #1 for one x, two x's, and three x's. However, I get no sound during questions #2 and #3. It doesn't make sense to me since the links are going to the same pages. Any suggestions?

Greetings, Can not wait to see how the class repsonds to the use of this product. I will not be able to let you know until the fall. I am planning on using the game as part of a class for second year nursing students. The class is not until the fall. Will have to let you know how it goes.
Thanks,

I'm not sure what happened with your download. I've never experienced this porblem before. The game was created in PowerPoint 2005, but it should still work. If you send me your email address to michaun_10@yahoo.com, I can email you the game template.

When I press for 1 answer, all the answers pop up. How do I get only the chosen answer to pop up? Thanks.
This template was created in Microsoft PowerPoint 2005. It may not have the same settings as 2007, but each text button should be set to move on mouse click. The text should only appear when the yellow button is clicked. Under custon animation, be sure that each of the 10 buttons still has its trigger set to "start on click" with a picture of a mouse and a green star next to it. I hope this works.

I'm having the exact same problems as Markv below. Were you able to help him resolve it? I have Powerpoint version 2000. Under custom animation, the tab "order and timing" I can click "on mouse click" for the text boxes, but this also puts them in the "order" box, so that it brings the answers up in this order, not the answer number I click. I think this will be a GREAT game if I can get it to work right. Please help
Thank you for your purchase. I'm sorry that you are having a problem using the template. The problem may be that your version of PowerPoint is not compatible to the 2003 version that I used to create the template. You may be able to edit the game in your version but view it in PowerPoint viewer 2003 so that the triggers work properly. Try downloading PowerPoint viewer from the website below. I hope this helps. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/powerpoint/hp030784121033.aspx

how do you use the family fued down load please help
Thank you for your purchase! It is very simple to use. The only slides you need to edit are the three board slides. Where it says "enter question here" you need to type in a question that require more than one answer.(ex. Which animals are examples of herbivores?) Where it says "enter answers & points here" enter the one answer and any point value for each button needed.(ex. horse 3pts) You do not have to use every button. The 1,2,3 buttons at the bottom are for the strikes. Once you finish adding questions and answers to the slides it's done. All you need to do to play is click on slide show on the top tool bar then click view show. Don't forget to save the game under a different name so that you always have the template saved to create more games. Enjoy!

i set the animation to move on mouse click. but it flows the text in based on the animation order. for example if contestants answer correctly but in order of 3, 2, 4,7 ....etc, is there a way for these texts boxes to flow in in the order they are answered? i must be doing smething wrong as i;m sure your prgram is set-up this way. thank you.
Each text button should be set to move on mouse click. The text should only appear when the yellow button is clicked. Under custon animation, be sure that each of the 10 buttons still has its trigger set to "start on click" with a picture of a mouse and a green star next to it. If it still doesn't work properly, send me your email address and I will email you another copy of the template.

How do I modify the answer & point buttons to appear in the order that I select? Right now in my animations options I have it set to animate (wipe in right) when I click on it. The computer wants to control a specific order of appearance, but I only want to reveal the answers when they answer correctly. How do I modify this option?
yes, go to file in the top toolbar then choose save as and then choose the destination of the file

When an incorrect answer is given and you click on the number to get to the X, how do you get back to the game? When I click on the back arrow on the slide, it goes to "congratulations Team 1".
Thank you!
Right click on the back action button and make sure the hyperlink is programmed to last slide viewed. This will solve this problem, but don't forget to save the changes.
