Minimizing behavior problems will give you more time to teach and your students more opportunities to learn. These are the techniques that I used during my 30 year teaching career. Many of them are simple, but very effective, and are things I noticed many of my colleagues who lacked good classroom management were not doing. I hope these help you, because teaching is much more enjoyable as well as effective when negative behavior is less of an issue.
