Use these signs, labels, and postcard patterns to encourage writing and reading by creating a post office in your classroom. Every February I turn my home living center into a class post office. Upon arrival each day, my kindergarteners write a letter/postcard to a classmate (I arrange it so that all students will recieve mail). During center time, my postal workers sort the mail according to boy/girl and then deliver it to individual students' mailboxes (cubbies).

Sometimes I can't believe I get paid to do my job! I have been teaching kindergarten for 13 years and preschool many more years before that! Those little darling are so much fun to teach and get so excited over the little things! Magnets=magic, yellow & blue colored water make green colored water=ooohs & ahhhhs & a "Mrs. Young, you are magic." Love it!
