Hey Hope! I bought this unit and I LOVE it but I was wondering one thing...I would like to have a Blizzard section in the severe weather research project pages. Is there anyway you would be willing to do some matching pages for me (just like the other severe weather pages that my kids are using) and send them to me? Thanks!

I am just starting this unit with my kiddos, and I am so excited! I know they will love it just as much as I do!! I was wondering if you have the templates for the rain boots, rain hat, and hands for the "What is a Meteorologist" writing activity that I could get?

Thanks so much! I look forward to seeing what other resources you come out with! :)

I let the students draw those on their own and cut them out. If it will help, I will be glad to get to work on some patterns and add them to the unit! :) Let me know!

Thanks so much!

I love the wide range of grade levels that this can fit, but is this created towards a specific set of standards?

On page 108, Cloud Watching, I noticed a typo on the word Cumulus. It is spelt Cumulous in the document.

I was just wondering if you have thought of adding blizzards to the severe weather section? That seems like severe weather more than earthquakes and volcanoes. That is the other topic I assign and would love if I could have matching papers to the rest.

Hello,
I adore your ressources!! They are so well written and engaging! Unfortunately, I am unable to use them in my classroom as I teach in a French school. Is there any chance that I could you the editable version (if it exists) in order to create a French version of your work. I would be willing to resend it back to you in French form so you could have the rights to sell it. I would of course also be willing to pay extra.
I understand if this is not something you are interested in doing...just thought I would ask just in case!
Have a lovely evening!

Hi Terra,
I would so love to do this, however, due to copyright laws on the graphics that I use, I can not send editable versions of my files! So sorry! Thanks for checking! Hope

Does this unit have anything on the water cycle? Does the part on clouds discuss each type of cloud?

Thanks!

Hi Hope

I love your unit. It is wonderful! I had a question about the word of the day. I understand what you have them do in the definition and illustration boxes. What do you have the students do in the example and it is not boxes? I'm sure the answer is very obvious. I just want to be sure to do it the "right" way. ;-)

Thanks
Mindy

In the example box, they can either draw a picture or write a sentence with the word. In the "it is not" box they have to give an example of what they word is not. For example if the word of the day was precipitation, under "it is not", they may write dew. Hope this helps! :)

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Grades Taught:
Subject Area:

During my short teaching career, I have never stayed in one place too long! :) I've been teaching for six years - 4 years in 1st grade,1 year in 2nd, and have now moved on to 3rd grade just this year. Looping has presented many challenges, but I have enjoyed all of the wonderful experiences that this model of teaching can offer. I adore my job and am always looking for ways to improve my instruction in the classroom. I have quickly learned that when you make learning magical, that is when it truly sticks for the "long haul". I enjoy creating resources that bring learning to life in my classroom, and I am so excited to be able to offer a little piece of that to you here on TPT. Happy Teaching! :)
