Teaching children 3-digit subtraction with regrouping can be tricky. But not with this pack! This week long unit will have your students completing these types of questions independently.
To start the unit your students will need a great deal of support. I have included a page for you to complete together that walks the students through the process of regrouping. Each day will start with the children completing 4 warm-up questions. Use this time to address any difficulties the children are having. I have included 5 math centers that the children can complete over the week.
Included:
*tracking sheet
*guided practice page
*daily warm-up page
*5 math centers
(1) Let's Go To The Circus! (subtraction book)
(2) Clowns!
(3) Class Clown!
(4) Clown Flapbook
(5) Clown Town
All the centers have 16 subtraction questions with and without regrouping.
*all the centers have cute and colourful question cards and a matching worksheet
*center label cards
Download the preview to see everything included.

My kids had a hard time with three-digit subtraction with regrouping but these worksheets really helped. I know this sounds silly, but I would love an answer key. :) Otherwise, it is perfect!

I love the tracking sheet you have so the students can track their work!
My students loved it! One comment, on the clowns cards two had a plus sign instead of a minus sign. I just placed a sticker over it and it was nbd but just thought I would point it out! Otherwise great job and I can't wait to purchase more from you!

Not a problem, Natalie! I am just beginning regrouping this week. I wouldn't need it until March at least. I am sure I am not the only one struggling with higher subtraction. You will make many friends happy if you find the time to make a higher level unit. Have a great Thanksgiving!
Marla
I'll do what I can:)
Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!

Natalie! You are saving my life! My kids have to borrow to the 10,000 place. They do fine to the 100th place, but 1,000 place gets tough for them. Would you please make a unit for regrouping to the 1,000 place?
I love your things!
Marla
Hi Marla,
Well don't I wish I could help?! I can put it on my to-do list but I can't make any promises as to when I would get to it. I moved down to a 1/2 split this year and am up to my ears in making grade 1 units. I will try and get to it in my free time {lol!} but I know that doesn't help you now. Sorry!
Natalie
Gina, I am beyond embarrassed!!! Honestly this is not a true reflection of the quality of my work! I am so sorry about this and I have no idea why it is not uploading the new version of the unit. The problem is that I can't even check myself unless I buy the unit. Please email me at home and I will send you the page (let me know again which page it is you need) at lamontfamily@bell.net. If you wouldn't mind checking again for me I would really appreciate it. If it still has not worked I will contact TpT. Again, thank you for your patience. I would like to give you a free unit to make up for your time and the inconvenience. When you email me at home please let me know what unit you would like.
Bye for now,
Natalie
