This is an awesome activity/lab and worth every penny (pun intended)! I have used coins for a number of science demonstrations/labs but this really is an extension and allows students to apply their scientific method skills. Highly recommend!

I have taught for 16 years in a large, urban, public school district (I have taught in three different schools) and I LOVE it! I taught self-contained, multi-age gifted class for past seven years. Prior to this assignment, I taught regular ed 4th and 5th grades. I am now in an at-risk school teaching 5th grade! I am so lucky to have such great students, past and present!
