This is a collection of animal collective nouns. It contains nouns that refer to groups of animals.
Use these Collective Noun Domino Cards to keep your students engaged in a fun activity that encourages reading and matching. This game is ideal for re-teaching and reinforcement of collective nouns (animals).
These cards have twenty-four pairs of collective nouns and their matching plural nouns, some of them are: a swarm of bees, a flock of birds, an army of ants, a herd of cattle, a gaggle of geese, a herd of elephants, a pack of wolves, a troop of monkeys, a tribe of lions, a litter of cubs, etc. The illustrations are there to help visual learners to remember. Encourage students to read each card as they match them (to help the auditory learners).
Fulfills the CCSS.ELA-Literacy.L.2.1a Use collective nouns (e.g., group).

I love these, but find them too small.

Thank you for a collective nouns activity! The kids loved it. I put the key on the promethean board for them to reference, and it turned into a great activity that they worked together to find the more difficult collective nouns. I enjoyed watching them laugh and discuss the ones they had never heard before.
