Each page is available as a black & white student reproducible as well as a full color teacher example! Print out the pages you need, when you want them! That means no more summers spent coloring in samples for your class! Simply press a button and print out a full color copy of the page of your choice. Then, print out the same page in black and white for the students to create!
Begin your study of colors with color word flash cards and a whole page of flash card fun and games! Next, staple the reproducible crayon cover to sheets of blank paper and cut out to create a shape writing book. Have the students write and illustrate a page each day they learn about a new color! The students can also color, cut and create their very own paper bag puppet.
We include a mini-storybook about "Colorful Birds" that the students can read themselves! A second reproducible student book introduces the colors one page at a time. The first page begins with just blue. The next page adds red. Each new page adds a new color, while at the same time reviewing all previously studied colors!
Watch out for "Hungry Hank" because he loves to eat colored cereal or candies. Use this easy-to-make decorated box to teach reading and math skills. The students "feed" Hungry Hank through his mouth. When you are finished in the classroom, the students can take Hank home for more learning fun with the family!
There is so much more in this unit, such as: color candy graphs, bulletin board border, stationery, and a colorful seven-scoop ice cream cone! Two unit completion certificates are included: one to send home and one for display on the classroom "Wall of Fame."
