Thank you for the feedback. I wish you'd given additional information about which activity had too many pieces to manage. The unit contains several different workstations, and you are only putting out the pieces for one workstation at a time. You can also decide how many number cards to put out for each workstation, so you have quite a bit of control over the number of pieces the students need to deal with.

Hi Donna,
The packet looks awesome! I was going through it and noticed on page 25 there is a slight mistake with the 60-40 rods picture... The red circle is around 2 rods, not the 4 rods as the equation states. Just a "heads up". Sorry to post here, but didn't remember how to get in touch with you in another fashion. :) Can't wait to use it in my room! Thanks for all your hard work! Catherine

Hi! Great resource, but I am having trouble with the fonts showing up on the bats. I see it below that it may be due to that I am using a Mac, or perhaps is there an additional font I need to download? (sometimes I find on a mac that if I have the right font, all opens beautifully!) Thanks!

The place value activities in this unit are for 2-digit number and the 2nd grade common core standards are to 3-digit numbers. The activities for working with and comparing numbers would probably be appropriate for the beginning of 2nd grade or for remediation. The activity for subtracting multiples of 10 could address 2.NBT.5,fluently add and subtract withing 100 based on place value. You can download the preview and it explains all the activities. Hope this helps!
