This printable worksheet calls for students in grades 4-5 to read three different accounts of the mysterious death of one of history's most famous leaders, Alexander the Great.

After reading these sources, students answer 8 questions by reviewing the three sources, showing that they recognize the similarities and differences between each account. They finish by deciding which source they believe or trust the most and explaining why they feel that way. Answers provided.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been an upper elementary and middle school teacher for 31 wonderful years and have loved every minute of it. For me, content is the key. I believe the plans, printables, and worksheets I have created have above all else high-quality content, but are also practical and ready-to-use. Each item I sell has been used in my classroom or by a part of my teaching team (teacher-tested) and is clearly written. I won't put any lesson or idea on TeachersPayTeachers unless I am certain YOU can understand it, teach with it today, and that it has value for children.
