This packet includes everything you need to post the Common Core Standards you are working on in your classroom. The packet includes 5 different color schemes to choose from for your posters and includes all of the Common Core Standards for First Grade. The standards are worded in YOUR CHOICE of "I can..." or "We can..." language so that the teacher can verbalize to the students the standards that they are working on. Thanks for all of your hard work. I can tell you put a lot of time and effort into this. I also like that you added a page where it showed what the words onthe top meant vs the main words, etc. I also like that you have added some pictures to match and connect words to meaning. I see that as very important for first grade. Some of the word choice seemed a little higher level, but I am excited to change a word or two and/or help my students use the stronger vocab. I am JUST starting common core and haven't had a chance to dive in deeply,but it is hard to see what is different between the first and the 2nd documents. I am sure i will figure it out as a print it and lay it all out. Thanks, Lori from Colo.

You are such a generous person to create these files for teachers to purchase and that you respond to people's messages. I have had this item for over a year, but haven't discovered a "best way" to store unused cards. What do you use for storage; is it something you could share (ie. labels for sectioning) or that could be purchased? Also, I'd love to get the Speaking/ Listening cards as well and have read other comments where you've offered to email it. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you! Take care!

I purchased the common core standards and I love them! I was wondering if there is a way that you could please make a card that says "Listening and Speaking"? I recently purchased the common core posters. I love them! However I would love it if you could remove the black frame around the standard cards. It just wastes ink since we need to cut the cards out. I noticed that it's not there in the essential questions that go along with the standards.

Which Math and Reading programs do you use? I believe these I can statements are also called content objectives (WHAT is being learned). Do you have language objectives/statements (such as I can tell my partner ........ or I can write...... etc.)? They tell what the students will DO (speak, listen, read or write) with what they learn in a lesson. I think this is similar to what Brandy Ferguson (commented below) was asking. Maybe these in the packet are both, I'm a little new to the CCSS and the difference between these two types of objectives. Thanks, Danene

I wanted one for each section - Writing, Language Arts, Reading Foundations, Speaking and Listening.... you never responded. Did you get my email?
