This mini-unit was created to introduce little ones to the concept of community helpers.

Community helper cards that can be used as mini-posters, word cards to be placed in writing station, or for a fun game of charades! :)
The helpers included in this pack are:

mail carrier, dentist,

ibrarian, farmer, veterinarian, and teacher!
Bubble Maps to be used with dentist, firefighter, police officer, and mail carrier.
Venn Diagram to compare and contrast between police officers and firefighters OR create your own venn diagram with small pictures included to choose from!
This packet also comes with an emergent reader {both a teacher and student edition}. The phrase "I am a..." is used in a repetitive form to create sight word fluency for early readers.
I have also included a book sequencing activity that has students putting words and sentences into the correct order while matching corresponding illustrations.
A capital and lowercase letter match worksheet is included as well as a syllable counting and sorting literacy center with corresponding recording sheet.
I have also included a math game/worksheet for number identification {1-5 and 6-10).
Two writing response sheets are included with the sentence starter "When I grow up I want to be a..."
