This mini-unit was created to introduce little ones to the concept of community helpers.
Included is:
Community helper cards that can be used as mini-posters, word cards to be placed in writing station, or for a fun game of charades! :)
The helpers included in this pack are:
police officer, gardener,
beautician, firefighter,
baker, computer technician,
mail carrier, dentist,
artist, doctor,
nurse, construction worker,
chef, store clerk, l
ibrarian, farmer, veterinarian, and teacher!
Bubble Maps to be used with dentist, firefighter, police officer, and mail carrier.
Venn Diagram to compare and contrast between police officers and firefighters OR create your own venn diagram with small pictures included to choose from!
This packet also comes with an emergent reader {both a teacher and student edition}. The phrase "I am a..." is used in a repetitive form to create sight word fluency for early readers.
I have also included a book sequencing activity that has students putting words and sentences into the correct order while matching corresponding illustrations.
A capital and lowercase letter match worksheet is included as well as a syllable counting and sorting literacy center with corresponding recording sheet.
I have also included a math game/worksheet for number identification {1-5 and 6-10).
Two writing response sheets are included with the sentence starter "When I grow up I want to be a..."

Not really sure as to why they are all of a sudden showing up blank. I have not had any previous problems with this document.
When encountering similar problems, they could be solved by updated to the latest version of Adobe and/or making sure to open a document in Adobe rather than Preview.
The zip file which contained this document is now corrupted and I am no longer able to access this file. :(
If the issue remains, email TPT Tech support as they are much more knowledgable and will be able to better assist you in this issue.
Please let me know how it goes!

Kelly - I finally figured it out. I was running the newest version of Adobe - Adobe XI. I had my husband try to open your document and he was able to get everything to load correctly-he was using Adobe 9.5, we then tried to open the file in Adobe X at school and it wouldn't load. I uninstalled Adobe XI from my computer and installed Adobe 9.5 and - - -it worked!! Everything loaded correctly! I'm not sure if there is something that you may need to fix, but I just thought I would let you and TpT know so that if people start to complain that they are not getting all of the information - it could be because they have updated their Adobe.

Kelly - I was wondering if you had any suggestions on the problems I am having with your product? I am trying to get all my community helper items ready so that I can teach the theme next week. I've purchased several items TpT and haven't had this problem. Please let me know if you have fixed it yet and if not, I will have to ask for a refund.

Stacy. I was told by TPT tech support that they see no problems with the product. Do you have an updated version of Adobe. Or try viewing it in Adobe rather than Preview. I'm not sure what else it might be as I am not a "techy" person and have not had any problems with this product thus far.

Also, pages 18-19 are blank Venn diagrams - there are no graphics or words showing up. Page 20 is completely blank. I was pretty sure there should be something on these three pages.

Kelly - I ordered the Community Helpers bear edition, but pages 3-11 only have a colored square on them. They do not have the posters that you describe on page 2.
