Students use these graphic organizers to research and then compare/contrast different ecosystems/environments. They can use websites or nonfiction texts to learn more about the ecosystems. You can have students complete the venn diagrams in a variety of ways--independent, with a partner who has discussed a different ecosystem, in a station, etc.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Subject Area:
I am in my 8th year of teaching. Most of my teaching experience has been in 5th grade, but I taught 4th grade for two years and looped with those classes. I have a masters in Curriculum and Instruction in Reading and received National Boards Certification in Middle Childhood. Being an elementary teacher, I teach all subject areas and think about ways to engage children in content through collaboration and discussion.
