Want your students to compare themselves to characters in books and their social studies curriculum? Here are two timelines that students can fill out to compare their lives to the lives of people they are studying. These timelines differ only in the heading on the pages. One is headed with "Historical Figure" and the other "Book Title." There are five small blocks on top for students to draw pictures of events in their lives and lines for captioning underneath each picture. There are five blocks for pictures and lines for captions on the bottom for the character or figure the class is studying. For the sake of grading, I have also included a checklist. I hope you find these useful!
