These practice cards will help your kinders take what they've learned about composing and decomposing numbers into groups of tens and ones and practice with these cards by now showing an equation. Printing these cards onto overheads and cutting down to size make them a perfect, reusable resource for math centers or stations when you place them on top of a magnetic drawing board.
Includes all numbers 10-20, and some numbers 21-99 to allow for differentiation.
Helps meet Common Core Mathematics Standards:
- K.NBT.1.e. Record the composition of numbers 11-19 through an equation of a group of ten ones and additional ones. (ie. 10+6=16)
- K.NBT.1.f. Record the decomposition of numbers 11-19 through an equation of a group of ten ones and additional ones.
I just got some new drawing boards. I can't wait to use these with my kinders!

What a creative way to practice this CC standard! You are amazingly organized and have been an inspiration to me. I learn so much from your blog. I am working hard on organizing my year now and trying some ideas out on my kinders in summer school. Thanks so much.
