Students can use this "Stop... Think... Share..." type of strategy to support their understanding and collaborate to create meaning for both fiction and non-fiction texts.
Students can use sentence starters such as "I remember...", "I read...", "I learned...", "I recall...", and "I noticed..."
**Note: Teachers can put these sentence starters on craft sticks or chart paper to scaffold independence with this strategy!

Goes so well with Daily 5 Read with Someone. I am going to try letting them read silently, the same pages, then doing this process.
