PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Text recall and retell are great ways to reinforce and monitor comprehension!

Students can use this "Stop... Think... Share..." type of strategy to support their understanding and collaborate to create meaning for both fiction and non-fiction texts.

Students can use sentence starters such as "I remember...", "I read...", "I learned...", "I recall...", and "I noticed..." to record their thinking on the THINKMARKS!

**Note: Teachers can put these sentence starters on craft sticks or chart paper to scaffold independence with this strategy!

I will use it with my classroom to help meet the requirements of the common core. 4th grade is an interesting time, we've adopted the core this year to find that our students should have a firm knowledge in so many skills by the time they exit 3rd grade.
