Managing technology in the elementary classroom takes a few simple rules. This handy poster can be put up near laptops in the classroom or in your school computer lab.

Students get so excited when you start teaching with technology that they often forget how to take care of the hardware. A few months of misuse will make your student laptops look (and act) worn out.

We don't want that...they are too hard to replace! Let this poster set expectations right from the start.

There are two PDF's in this download:

1. Full printing instructions (see them in the sample)
2. Cut-and-glue (or tape) kit

The final poster is 24 x 30 inches (61 x 76 cm). Laminate it to make it usable year after year.

My professional experience includes teaching grades 3 through 5 and substitute teaching from Kindergarten through 6th grade. I have taught in buildings that qualify as Title 1 and currently teach in a 103 year-old LAP school. I am an Educational Technology instructor for my district where I provide professional development on many different forms of technology from basics to skills for high-level users. Prior to becoming a classroom teacher, I worked as an assistant school secretary and invested in my own children as a classroom parent volunteer.
