This poster models a 5 step process for using context clues to understand new words. The poster is a "think aloud" for the word "infraction", starting with sounding out the word, followed by variations of context clues that help define it. The purpose of this poster is to be used as an anchor lesson for teaching the steps to using context clues. It is best used in combination with my other products: Context Clues Power Point Unit, Context Clues Think Aloud Power Point, and Using Context Clues Worksheets. I have found that teaching these simple steps to my students has really improved their vocabulary awareness. Thanks for supporting my work! Rebecca@ReadingInnovation.
