Context clues are often clue words that tell the reader "stop" the meaning of the unfamiliar word is RIGHT HERE! This large, colorful display can be used with a mini lesson on context clues and really get the students excited about finding these words in their daily reading. It's fun to do a little "I wish I'd had a V-8" tap to the forehead when you spot one of these words. I keep one handy and stick it to my forehead when a student spots one of these clues.
