This is a 17 slide powerpoint presentation to introduce context clues. It discusses what a context clue is, why it is important, and when students should use context clues. The powerpoint focuses on the four common types of context clues: Definition, Synonym, Example/Description, and Antonym clues. Each type is defined and supported with example sentences. There is a guided practice and summary also provided. This powerpoint is designed to be completed in mini-lesson format over a 5 day period.

There is one slide at the end of the PPT that has students try to identify which context clue is being used. I also have a worksheet available for sale that provides additional practice with this which you could use as an assessment tool. Hope that helps!

"Let's" is misspelled on your second slide: "Lets look at each word" should be "Let's look at each word." Doesn't bode well. Good copy, though.
