This freebie is designed to allow students to practice matching the two words that make up a contraction to the contraction itself. Once students have made a match, they record it on the sheet. The contraction cards that match also have the same graphic on them which will be helpful to students when making sure they are correct. It would make a great center!

I am currently in my third year of teaching. My first year was spent in Kindergarten while last year I worked as a third grade teacher and now, I'm in first! I guess I'm trying to cover all of primary within my first five years of teaching. Perhaps I'll teach second next year! Either way, I enjoy what I do and am grateful to have the chance to make a difference in a child's life.
