Here are two worksheets for students to practice using basic contractions. One activity involves identifying the contraction in a sentence and figuring out the two words that were combined to create the contraction. The second page allows students to practice combining words to make contractions and then writing sentences with those contraction words. Great introductory activity for contractions and grammar, but can also be used for a review. Answer key for both pages is included. 4 pages total.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I started teaching in 1998. I worked as a fifth grade classroom teacher for 4 years, teaching math, English, science, and reading, then taught 3 years of middle school math, reading, and English, and for 6 years I worked as a math resource teacher in grades 2 and 4. I recently became principal of an elementary school.
