A take home book that teaches high frequency words and number word recognition. The last page gives the teacher an opportunity to prompt for verbal expression by asking what the student thinks might have happened to the cookies. Meets common core standards for math and literacy. Goes nicely as a non-fiction companion to The Gingerbread Man. Makes a great pocket chart activity for a literacy center. To print the book back to back- the cover /page six is backed with the blank page/page five. Page two/three is back with page four/one. When assembling-place the cover page face down(page 5 is up). Place page 2/3 face up on top of cover page. Fold in half and staple along the spine. Enjoy!
