This listing is for one of my FAVORITE back to school activities! Cooking Up a Great Year Together is an activity centered around high quality children's literature, character trait discussions, and FOOD! :)
For six days, this activity is completed over the first few weeks of school, because of the activities involved I do not recommend doing more than one book/activity a day, you will read a book to your class that focuses on a particular character trait. Your class will then make text to self connections as they fill out the accompanying organizer for the character trait. Once the organizers have been completed, your class will make an anchor chart together on what that character looks like in your classroom!

Once all the books have been read and the character traits have been discussed, your class gets to enjoy a special trail mix made up of ingredients that symbolize each of the character traits you have been studying.

Please download the detailed preview to see all the goodies inside! :)

Character traits discussed/included:
Sharing
Kindness
Being Yourself
Being a Good Friend
Teamwork
Responsibility

My class has always enjoyed this activity, and it is something they truly remember all year long! If you have any questions about this product, please email me at lisa at fourthnten dot com!

I'm having the same problem with mine. When I get to page 21 it stops printing. I've tried to print them individually, but it didn't work. Did the other person get it fixed? Thanks.

Hello! Thank you for your purchase! First try this link to see if one of these solutions help! http://ericabohrer.blogspot.com/2012/05/trouble-opening-tpt-files.html
Typically, issues with PDF files come from your Adobe Reader not being up to date. Since you are having an issue with your printer, please also try updating your driver. These items have lots of graphics, which can make printing take longer. Also, could you trying printing it at another location? I know it's a pain, but can often pinpoint whether you are having a problem with the document or the printer. I would say it's with the printer, as I haven't had a problem printing the document, using the same that I uploaded, or many other customers that have used this with their class. If updating adobe or your printer drivers don't work, please contact TpT Support under the contact us tab. They can often pin point exactly what is wrong based on your operating system.
Thanks!

I teach 3rd grade at a year round school and am excited to use your cooking up a great year back to school activity. I am having difficulty printing it however. I was able to print pages 1 - 21 but can't get the rest. Any suggestions?

Hmmm...did you try printing the remaining pages on a different printer? Or set your printer to print pgs. 21 to the rest of the document and see if that works. Please let me know if one of those options work. If not, I can try sending you a PDF of only the pages you need. Just email me at lisa@fourthnten.com
