Your students already love them, why not use cootie catchers for a fun language activity. This file includes eight different cootie catchers containing open-ended questions for nonfiction comprehension. Cootie Catchers can be used as a partner activity after independent reading, during guided reading, or as a fun language center. The file also contains a blank template for making your own cootie catcher (a perfect activity for test review questions).

This lesson was recommended to me by a colleague. We are both librarians. It is exactly what I needed for a lesson on informational text. I showed a PowerPoint on text features, then the students used the Cootie Catchers for review. They loved it and I did too. Money well spent- I'll use it again. Also plan to use the blank sheet. I'm sorry - I don't have any cootie catchers related to a math word wall yet. I did just create a cootie catcher package for word walls, but I don't think it would be your best option for a math word wall.
