Here's a throw-back to the fortune tellers we all grew up with. Now known as Cootie Catchers, teachers can now use them for educational purposes while still having fun! Just follow the directions on the last page to make the Cootie Catcher. This catcher has the students practicing place value. There are two catchers included with this item. The first studies place value in the tens and ones. The second works on place value to the hundreds, tens, and ones. For added fun, let your students color the catcher before cutting out. TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have been teaching for 10 years. I taught 3 of those years in the Chicago area. I am now teaching in the very school that I attended as an elementary and high school student. It is exciting to be teaching the children of old classmates!
