Countable and Uncountable Nouns: This is a set of definition posters and flash cards for teaching about countable and uncountable nouns.
On the flash cards, the countable nouns are featured in questions that ask 'How many…?' and the uncountable nouns use the question phrase 'How much…?' Students can make a game of it by answering the questions. On the countable noun cards, the answer is always a number but for the uncountable noun cards, the answer will be either a vague answer like ‘plenty’ or ‘a small amount’. It can also be a number that is combined with a unit measurement (for uncountable nouns) e.g. ‘three cups’ or ‘two teaspoons’.
Other ways to use these cards are:
-As revision Flash cards
-As prompts for the game 'Say it, Keep it' (instructions are included).
