$ Looking for a fun new center for your kids? How about having them make the sight words with Snap Cubes!
Use these cards to have your students count out blocks to create the letters and form the pre-primer sight words! Then they count how many cubes it took to make the words! Two recording sheets are included (one where students just count the snap cubes, and another where students count and write the word.)

Please note these are not to scale. It would take the kids making letters ridiculously large in order to get that. They are as to scale in placement of elements of the letters as I could. And unfortunately they are also not to scale in the fact that the kids cannot put the blocks on the cards. Again the paper would have to be very large to accomplish that. The purpose is to read and count... so let them count the blocks as they build the words!

I have taught for 9 years. Most has been in low-income areas and with second language learners. I have taught Kindergarten, 3rd, 4th, and technology. Kinder is where my heart is! I have also taught at the National I Teach Kindergarten conference in Las Vegas! I would say that was the highlight of my career, but how can you surpass teaching kids to read? =)
