This 20 page SmartBoard file was designed to help students practice sight words in context. These pages contain 35 sight words and give students practice writing sight words and reading them in a sentence. They are also practicing letter recognition, number recognition, letter writing and phonics at the same time. The students use the code at the bottom of the page to figure out the message. Students find the number at the bottom and see what the corresponding letter is. Then they use the pen to write the letter on the line in the message above the correct number. After completing the message the students put the correct punctuation at the end of the sentence. For example if the sentence says, The cat is black , the students put a period at the end of the sentence. Then students use the eraser to erase under the title at the top to reveal a picture clue. My students love to do these on the SmartBoard and get so excited when they figure out the message. I hope your students enjoy them too. If you want these pages in worksheets for your students to use in Literacy Centers. I also sell the accompanying worksheets.
