This 22 page workbook consists of 9 craft ideas presented as reading comprehension passages. Each passage consists of a brief background selection and a section devoted to a supply list and instructions for creating a craft. Following each passage are 5 to 6 multiple choice questions related to the passage. Each craft can be created independently by students, primarily using materials commonly found in the classroom. Students read the passage, create the craft, then answer the comprehension questions. These activities are highly motivational and great for learning centers, test prep, life skills, and independent work. All passages are written at approximately a 2nd to 3rd grade reading level. Passages/crafts include: Earth Day Suncatchers, Earth's Layers model, Fall Wreaths, Ojos de Dios (God's Eyes), Pop-up Groundhog Puppets, Abe Lincoln Puppets, Make Your Own Geodes, St. Patrick's Day Rainbows, and Bead Angel Ornaments.
