This graphing math pack is a must have!!! This unit runs for one week and includes everything you need to teach data management. My students love graphing and many children grasp the basic concept of graphing fairly quickly. The next step is to get your students to think deeper and analyse the data. This package will have your students graphing and answering questions using the data from the graph. You will be amazed by your students`progress in just one week! I always teach this unit for 2-3 weeks so if you are interested in doing another week of graphing I really hope you will stop by Natalies Nook and purchase my second graphing package.
I am not a fan of loose papers so I staple the tracking sheet and all the activity sheets together to create a booklet. On the front of the tracking sheet I record any observations I have made and I record the child`s success (or struggles). At the end of the week the booklet is sent home for parents. They really appreciate being kept up-to-date with their child`s progress and the booklet is a great review for the end of unit test. You can tear off or copy of the tracking sheet if you want to keep it for documentation or you can send it home. Whatever works best for you!
Included:
*a math tracking sheet
*data picture cards for 5 math tubs
*activity sheets for 5 math tubs
*success criteria cards
*success criteria examples to be displayed with your anchor chart
*title, labels, and scale bubbles to remind your students to label the graph
*center label cards
This is one of my favourite math units to teach. I really hope you and your students love this unit as much as my class did!
My bees are LOVING the graphing centers! After I taught the graphing unit in small group, I started doing one every couple of weeks as a whole group (cards in the pocket chart and a shared recording page on the document camera) so I can monitor their understanding of the analysis section. I also put one every couple of weeks in the bee boxes and they LOVE them! Thanks so much for a great product!
I love how flexible this set is. It's great for math stations that you don't change weekly. The kids can create different graphs each time, depending on what cards they pull.

Once again a wonderful product, you are definately one of my favorite providers!
That is such a nice thing to say!!!! Your comment made me BEAM:) I will keep working hard and I hope I can continue to help you with your planning! Let me know if you have any suggestions!
Your support and kind words mean a lot to me. I appreciate you taking the time to leave such positive comments. Graphing is one of my favourite units to teach and the children always love it because it doesn't feel like math to them. I hope you find the success criteria helpful. I have my students read it step by step when they are doing the center so that no parts are left unfinished. Are you a Canadian teacher?
Happy Graphing!

I will be buying a lot more of Natalie's work - it is excellent and will engage the students in their learning so much. Thanks Natalie for the awesome graphing resources. Can't wait to get your addition ones too!
Thank you soooo much Beth! Your supportive words mean a great deal to me!! I really appreciate you taking the time to leave me a comment.
Happy teaching!

Do the students draw a certain number of the picture cards to gather data or do they survey classmates as to which picture they like best?
Hi there,
No - the way I set up the centers is that the students use all the cards given for each graph. I have them sort that data to tally the number of each and then graph that data. All the questions are geared to the students having used all the data cards given for each graph. I hope that helps to clarify - if not please contact me again:)
Thanks for the question!

Please note that I have found a spelling error in the Winter kid fun. On the graph for this the first word in the tally chart says SLATING not skating. When you fix this can you please send me a copy of the corrected page. Thanks
Hi Beth!
I am sooooo sorry! My kids just finished this unit ~ I have no idea how we didn't catch the spelling mistake! Thank you for letting me know! I have downloaded the corrected version. Let me know how I can email you the new page.
Thanks!
Natalie
